Today we're talking all about IKEA desk hacks and I'm so excited! I love creating a bit of an oasis in the area where I work, and it all starts with the perfect desk.
Sadly, simply hopping online to buy a beautiful desk will cost way too much $$$ if you are on a tight budget so it is a great opportunity to get crafty and creative!

IKEA Desk Hacks to Save You Money
DIY Copper and Marble Desk
Raise your hand if you love the marble and copper combo?! I think it is so cute and SO easy to DIY yourself! We used the same peel and stick marble wall paper below to update our rental kitchen last year.
It is super cheap and super easy to put on so you really can't get any better if you are looking to save lots of money and still have an aesthetically pleasing office space!
Floating Shelf Desk
This setup is all things IKEA and is incredibly drool worthy! Click on the picture for the full tutorial on how this was all set up. This IKEA desk hack is my favorite, because although you will be spending a bit more it is still budget friendly.
Not to mention that there is tons of space! When I'm in med school, I fully plan to have a huge set up so options like these are worth the extra splurge!
The top of the desk is EKBACKEN Ash effect laminate counters you can find at IKEA. I love how sturdy and deep they are making for a great place for work.

DIY Office Desk With IKEA Storage Drawers
Another super cute and creative IKEA desk hack that I love! This one is even more affordable than the previous option and still has tons of desk space and storage with the drawers!
You can head to your local Home Depot or Lowe's to get a slab of wood or two. If you are handy enough to add some brackets for support then you are good to go!
Here for the drawers is the affordable HELMER Drawer Units at less than $50!
DIY IKEA Desk Hack
Alright, so the above options are great if you can drill into your walls, are good with a drill, and already have the right supplies...
But what if you don't?!
No problem!
You can still get an affordable desk top from IKEA like the LINNMON Tabletop shown above and simply put it on top of two cube storage shelves! Check out the full tutorial and video by clicking on the picture. They do use a drill, but personally I have just set the wood on top of two filing cabinets and never had a problem with anything moving around.
It is a at least a temporary option if you are really wanting this look! They also use the marble peel and stick wallpaper like mentioned before! That stuff really adds such a cute look!
Affordable IKEA Desk
Alright, this option isn't fancy or DIY or anything, it's just a really cheap desk! This PAHL Desk from IKEA is so nice because its big AND less than $70!
I've always gotten cheap desks from Walmart and Target in the past but they have never had this much space. They are cramped and tiny! Instead, you could get a great desk like this and search for some used filing cabinets to put on each side.
You would have tons of desk space and two sets of drawers for less than $100! I did a similar option in my own office space and found some nice wooden filing cabinets for only $20. You can find the best deals if you are willing to scour through OfferUp, Facebook Market, and shop around at local thrift stores from time to time.
